The Festival

Seeing Through a Different Lens: a Short Film Festival for the Spirit, is an initiative to bring together the creative minds within the global Brahma Kumaris community (BKs and friends of the BK family).  It is a chance to discover all the talents that could offer so much to a global audience and build a community of like-minded artists going forward.

We welcome EVERYONE to get involved in one way or another.

INTERESTED IN CREATING A SHORT FILM?

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

We invite and encourage you, the creative from any background and level of experience, to get involved by producing a short film that explores the different aspects of the spirit using a “different lens”.  It is an opportunity to express your spiritual experiences and share your stories, journeys and messages with the world.

Although no special award or prize will be presented for your film, your piece will be screened for live audiences at the International screening in Mount Abu, India on 17 February 2012.

Important: Before you begin creating your short film, please read the guidelines in the ENTER section of this website.

WANT TO WATCH AND COMMENT?

Although submitting a short film is a key part of the festival, we also need you, the viewers, to comment on your favourites, which will help us with selecting the finalists for an international screening in Mount Abu, India.  These will be selected on the basis of:

  • Content and clarity of message
  • Production achievement, and
  • Creativity and Originality.

ALL submitted films (that meet the rules listed in the ENTER section of this website) will be viewable from December 2011.

In the meantime you can enjoy the films submitted to the 2010 Festival.

ATTEND A FILM SCREENING?
